Job Description – Associate, Strategy & Corporate Development

About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled and multidisciplinary Associate to join our Strategy & Corporate Development team. This is a unique opportunity to take on a leadership role within a dynamic, international environment, working directly with the Group COO and closely with Alantra’s top management.
This position is centered on strategic projects and corporate initiatives that have a direct impact on the growth and positioning of the firm. The ideal candidate will combine strong financial and analytical capabilities with exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, as this role involves frequent interaction with senior stakeholders and C-level executives.
Key responsibilities
- Strategic Projects & Corporate Initiatives: Lead and manage a wide variety of strategic projects across the organization (growth initiatives, investment monitoring, corporate reorganizationsetc.), ensuring high-quality delivery and alignment with the firm’s objectives.
- Financial & Business Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial, operational, and strategic analyses of different business units (KPIs, performance tracking, profitability, benchmarking, etc.) to support decision-making.
- Executive Reporting: Prepare and present clear, insightful materials for senior management, the Board of Directors, and Executive Committees.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and alignment across teams.
- People Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, coordinating resources to ensure deliverables are met on time and at the highest standard.
- Corporate development (in-house M&A team): Execution of all sorts of transactions (acquisitions, capital increases, JVs, etc.) – more than 30 deals analyzed/executed during 2023). You will analyze companies and draft and review execution documents and other deliverables such as proposals, IM’s, financial models, due diligence and legal contracts. This position will also support the senior team members in meetings with counterparts, deal negotiations, valuation, transaction structuring etc
Requirements:
What we are looking for
- 4–7 years of relevant experience in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, or corporate strategy within tier-1 firms.
- A strong academic background in Business, Finance, Economics, or Engineering from a top-tier institution.
- Outstanding quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to build and interpret complex financial models and assess performance metrics.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact confidently with senior executives and committees.
- Proven ability to manage multiple high-impact projects simultaneously, balancing detail orientation with strategic vision.
- A proactive, structured, and problem-solving mindset, with strong business judgment.
- Fluency in English is mandatory (Spanish is a plus).
