Position Summary
The Crew Lead oversees residential solar installations, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to high-quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, clear communication, and hands-on expertise.
Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesSupervise full installation process and jobsite safety
Oversee rooftop and ground mount system installs
Communicate with Roof Lead and Branch Manager on job updates
Mount racking, modules, and electrical components
Complete job documentation and collect required photos
Manage team productivity and job site cleanliness
Safely operate company vehicle and manage truck inventory
Troubleshoot and resolve install issues
Attend training and travel as required
Perform other duties as needed
Qualifications Requirements
Education & Experience
High school diploma or GED
3+ year of solar install experience; 6+ months in a lead role
Electrical and roof racking experience required
Skills & Abilities
Strong leadership and communication skills
Detail-oriented and safety-focused
Comfortable working at heights and in tight spaces
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in all weather conditions
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Skilled with hand/power tools and training others
Physical Demands
Frequent standing, climbing, kneeling, and lifting
Repetitive movements, balance, and coordination
Able to lift/push/pull 50+ lbs and work on rooftops in varying environments
