WSP is seeking a Junior-Intermediate Project Technologist to join our Atlantic EHS Compliance Team in our Dartmouth office.
The successful candidate will work on a broad range of projects involving hazardous materials management, indoor air quality, drinking water quality, radon measurement and mitigation, and industrial hygiene, helping to support our Clients’ goals of workplace health & safety performance improvement.

An overview of your role will include:
- Supporting multi-disciplinary EHS projects across a variety of sectors. Specific consulting services provided may include the following depending on the candidates’ interests and expertise:
- Identification and Management of Hazardous Materials
- Indoor Environmental Quality Assessment Services
- Occupational Health & Industrial Hygiene Services
- Radon Measurement and/or Mitigation Services
- Drinking Water Sampling
- Interpretation of laboratory sample results and compare to applicable legislation
- Preparation of Technical Reports
- Project Management and Coordination of Hazardous Material / Microbial Contamination Remediation Work
- Written and oral communication both within multi-disciplinary teams and with Clients.
- Project and proposal completion, including project financial management, schedules, deliverables, and working as part of multi-disciplinary teams.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with Clients and sub-consultants/sub-contractors.
- Work during and outside of normal business hours, including some weekends and evenings, to meet project commitments. Travel for extended periods of time (1 to 2 weeks at a time).
- Other duties as assigned.
What you’ll bring to WSP:
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in occupational or environmental health and safety, environmental sciences, biology, building sciences, architecture, engineering, or related field.
- Professional designation (EP, CET, AScT, CRSP, CIH, ROH, ROHT, PMP) considered an asset.
- Familiarity with building systems (mechanical, electrical, structural, etc.) considered an asset.
- Familiarity with provincial and federal Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental legislation.
- Working knowledge of occupational hygiene practices.
- Organizing and providing support during meetings involving participation from stakeholders and demonstrated experience summarizing and presenting results with an emphasis on written communication.
- Computer skills for data management and manipulation including strong familiarity with Microsoft Office products.
