- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or a related field.
- Must have (and be able to maintain) the appropriate NCWRC Endangered Species Permits required to conduct aquatic species surveys in North Carolina, including permits for mussel and fish species. Permits/certifications to conduct similar species surveys in Virginia and/or South Carolina is a plus.
- At least 10 years of work experience is preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities, and manage project budgets preferred.
- Good working knowledge of word processing and integrated software applications, including GIS and MS Office applications
- Additional Requirements: Statewide/regional travel will be required for this position
