Key Responsibilities:
As an Emergency Response Specialist, you'll be at the forefront of critical response efforts. Your core responsibilities will include:
- Leadership & Safety: Direct and mentor field crews, ensuring adherence to Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and maintaining situational awareness of safety protocols and personal protective equipment (PPE) needs.
- Emergency Response Coordination: As the First Team Out (FTO) you will ensure seamless communication within the Emergency Services Chain of Command.
- Safety Compliance: Oversee safety practices on-site, enforcing compliance with Company safety rules and OSHA regulations. You’ll guide teams to work safely and efficiently while prioritizing health and safety.
- Training & Development: Play a key role in training and supporting new team members, ensuring they are equipped to meet the demands of the job.
- Communication: Maintain clear communication with both field personnel and clients. This includes providing updates on job status, following up on project requirements, and addressing client needs effectively.
- Incident Reporting: Lead incident investigations by quickly reporting Health & Safety Incidents or near misses and actively contributing to the resolution process.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all response activities, including obtaining customer signatures and photographing work progress.
- Project Execution: Ensure all projects are completed with attention to detail, from reviewing work plans and equipment needs to ensuring quality outcomes.
- Flexibility: Availability to support emergency projects outside regular business hours, including weekends and on-call status as required.
