Be our next Senior Environmental Project Manager
Your work environment at EXP
In this role, you will be a part of the Environmental team, of the Energy Services Sector, based in Anchorage, Alaska, or Remotely.
What a day at EXP has in store for you
- Manage environmental permitting, regulatory strategy development, environmental field surveys, and construction compliance for a variety of energy-related projects, including, but not limited to, oil and gas exploration, upstream oil and gas developments, pipeline projects, and downstream facilities.
- Develop, prepare and maintain Project environmental procedures manuals for compliance assurance throughout the lifecycle of projects.
- Manage and prepare applications for the permitting and authorizations of projects including those associated with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), U.S. Bureau of Land Management (BLM), state agencies including State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO), and local agencies.
- Manage the procurement and execution of subcontractor firms assigned to provide subject matter expertise and project team resources.This includes conducting wetland delineations, TE habitat characterization, environmental and cultural resources surveys, land use mapping and vegetation cover classification, GPS data collection, permitting and report preparations with USACE, United States Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), and state and local agencies.
- Prepare and ensure overall performance and accuracy of environmental assessment documents for environmental services in accordance with National Environmental Protection Act (NEPA) and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) guidelines as applicable.
- Lead the preparation of documentation and assessments for supporting project consultations include Section 106 NHPA and Section 7 ESA consultation requirements.
- Grow project opportunities with existing clients and develop business opportunities through new relationship management
- Prepare detailed proposals and cost estimates for existing and new client contracts
What your experience looks like
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Biological Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Geology or a related field with a minimum of 15 years of experience specific to managing the permitting, environmental and cultural resource consulting or NEPA documentation for large infrastructure, including oil and gas projects.
- Knowledge of computer applications and functions, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe, and Outlook.
- Advanced knowledge of and ability to apply environmental permitting and compliance regulations of applicable regulatory associations including the FERC, EPA, USACE, BLM, USFWS, state and local agencies.
- Knowledge of the principles, practices and acceptable techniques of business development and managing client relationships.
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of project planning, development, and evaluation related to the environmental projects and the energy services industry.
- Knowledge of the concept, principle and practices of project management
- Knowledge of documents related to requests for proposals, invitations for bid and tendering offers.
- Knowledge of computer applications and functions, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to review project work, quantities, costs, accuracy of specifications, completeness, and constructability.
- Ability to meet project deadlines.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, including advanced technical writing abilities.
- Ability to maintain and establish effective working relationships.
- Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously.
- Ability to compile, review and reconcile data for accuracy, completeness and compliance.
- Ability to perform work accurately in a detail oriented environment.
- Ability to prepare clear and concise reports, procedures, correspondences, and other written materials.
