RPI, LLC (Located in Green Bay, WI) is a part of Premier Outdoor Living, an entrepreneurial manufacturer that produces products for the outdoor living space. POL consists of 3 unique business, Spa cabinets, HDPE Lumber, and Outdoor Furniture. We operate 3 facilities, 2 in Pennsylvania and 1 in Wisconsin that support the three business. This position is to support RPI and will be based in Green Bay.
Job Summary:
The 3rd Shift Reliability Technician working in a fast paced, team-oriented environment while safely completing the processes associated with preventive maintenance and repair of equipment in the plant. Reliability Technicians strive to provide a safe working atmosphere for all Highwood employees by assuring equipment is in good working condition, reliable and compliancy and regulatory requirements is up to date without violation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Practice safe work habits and comply with Federal, State and Municipal guidelines including but not limited to Lock Out Tag Out, Arc Flash, Haz Mat, Confined Space, as well as internalized safety standards set as procedures
Independently perform all types, levels, and frequencies of Preventative Maintenance on all production equipment and some support equipment
Independently capable of troubleshooting and repairing equipment failures of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic nature
Able to assist with installation of new equipment and competently operate all equipment as needed
Perform repairs or maintenance work of facilities, buildings and grounds including electrical, plumbing, carpentry and painting tasks
Assist with assembly or repair of mechanical parts, pieces, machines using a variety of tools and equipment
Able to safely and efficiently use various power and hand tools such as impact gun, drill press, band saw, grinder
May need to fabricate parts when necessary to maintain or improve the function of equipment
Welding materials using the correct materials to join the metals together
Installing, maintaining, modifying and repairing all electrical systems
Conducting general electrical systems maintenance and troubleshooting electrical issues with testing equipment
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
Capable of identifying and using SAE versus metric sockets, ¼, 3/8, and ½” drives and ratchets along with the correct sockets, be able to identify what thread size it is and be able to retap or tap a threaded hole with a tap or die
Capable of reading simple electrical and mechanical prints
Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams & drawings
Understand, troubleshoot, and repair basic mechanical issues such as chains, belts, pulleys, augers load cells, pumps, and motors; basic pneumatic issues, including air compressor, vacuum system, air lines, and solenoids; repair instrumentation and basic electrical, such as extruder instrumentation, HDMI screens, fuses, plugs, basic wiring
Understand basic circuits such as resistance circuit and be able to measure and check heater band resistance, quartz heaters to trouble shoot if element is good or bad, also applies to thermocouples
Understand the control side of sensors as far as identifying and using multimeter to make sure any simple switch is actually switching voltage
Self-motivated and able to work autonomously; demonstrate the ability to prioritize work to best use of time and be self-directed
Demonstrate attention to detail and ability to multi-task, work in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrate the ability to switch tasks at a moment’s notice to ensure reliability of equipment and production flow
Consistently look for ways to improve and promote quality, safety, and productivity
Effective communication, both verbally and in writing, to affect decision making and keep the organization informed
Able to operate multiple types of lift trucks (i.e., narrow aisle reach, order pickers, sit-down lift)
Comfortable working at elevated heights
Proficient MS Office Suite skills, keyboarding skills and Maintenance related software
Accurate and thorough data recording
Able to quickly and accurately compare color and pattern of products on the basis of visual stimuli to quality control standards
Able to lift up to 75 lbs
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), five years related experience performing maintenance in an industrial manufacturing environment, specialized training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Possess the ability to accurately read a tape measure.
Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Work Environment
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to occasionally loud and PPE is required. Appropriate hearing protection while in the plant is required as noise levels within the facility meet OSHA requirements for hearing protection equipment.
Electrical and mechanical dangers will frequently be present, and the employee is required to take appropriate safety measures to always protect themselves and others from injury. Other dangers will be present from time-to-time when lifting, hoisting, moving, and installing equipment, and the employee is required to take appropriate safety measures to always protect themselves and others from injury.
The employee will be working in close proximity of rotating machinery, grinders, welders, various types of saws and cutters, where they will be required to take the appropriate safety measures to protect themselves and others at all times from injury.
