Utility Business Process Analyst (Temporary – 6 to 12 Months)
Location: King of Prussia, PA (Hybrid)
Department: Substation Engineering (expanding into T&D)
ExecuPOWER is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Utility Business Process Analyst to support the development, standardization, and optimization of our engineering processes. This temporary 6–12 month role is critical in building scalable, professional workflows across Substation Engineering, with future expansion into Transmission & Distribution (T&D).
We're looking for someone with hands-on Power Utility experience who can translate complex engineering operations into clear, consistent, and compliant documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Process Review & Documentation
- Analyze existing engineering processes, including Substation workflows, QA/QC standards, templates, and client requirements.
- Develop professional process maps, SOPs, procedures, and documentation sets.
- Establish standardized processes to support future T&D expansion.
- Manage document control, versioning, and lifecycle tracking.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Substation Engineering leadership to define best practices and improve operational efficiency.
- Work with Engineering, Design, QA/QC, PMO, and client-interface teams to ensure documentation reflects real-world operations.
- Identify gaps or inefficiencies and recommend process improvements.
Implementation & Training
- Lead rollout and adoption of new and updated engineering processes.
- Build training materials, presentations, and reference guides.
- Conduct training sessions, workshops, and coaching.
- Track adoption, gather feedback, and refine processes as needed.
- Serve as a resource for ongoing process questions and compliance.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in a Power Utility, EPC, or electric engineering environment.
- Strong understanding of Substation, Transmission, and Distribution engineering operations.
- Experience creating or managing workflows, SOPs, or QA/QC documentation.
- Ability to convert complex engineering concepts into structured processes.
- Proficiency with Visio, SharePoint, Microsoft Office, and Adobe tools.
- Exceptional written communication and attention to detail.
- Highly organized; able to manage multiple documentation initiatives.
- Experience collaborating across engineering and technical teams.
Preferred Skills
- Background in Business Process Development or continuous improvement programs.
- Knowledge of Utility standards, regulatory requirements, and client specifications.
- Familiarity with PMO methodologies or structured process frameworks.
