We are looking to hire a talented QUALITY MANAGER for our Renewables Energy division. The primary responsibility of this position is to lead, develop, implement, and manage QA/QC processes across renewable energy projects, including, but not limited to, microgrid, solar, wind, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and high voltage substations. This role provides centralized quality leadership and ensures that quality standards, regulatory compliance, and construction best practices are consistently upheld across geographically dispersed projects.
The Quality Manager holds overarching responsibility to internal and external stakeholders, Sargent Electric executives, and regulatory bodies, while Project Managers retain direct responsibility for Field Quality Managers, leads, and technicians, the Quality Manager ensures alignment between field execution and the business unit strategy.

RESPONSIBILITIES:- Develop and maintain Sargent Electric’s quality vision, policies, and objectives.
- Design and oversee a comprehensive Quality Management System (QMS) aligned with industry standards and customer requirements.
- Standardize QA/QC procedures, workflows, and inspection protocols across projects.
- Approve project-specific quality plans and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
- Conduct audits, site visits, and project quality reviews to ensure compliance and accountability.
- Oversee documentation systems for NCRs, corrective actions, and continuous improvement.
- Partner with Project Managers and Construction Managers to ensure quality milestones are achieved.
- Provide guidance to the Field Quality Leads while respecting PM accountability for their direct management.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, and Pre-Construction to influence upstream quality decisions (equipment specifications, vendor FATs, etc.)
- Lead training programs for field staff, subcontractors, and coordinators on QMS expectations.
- Promote a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement.
- Represent Sargent Electric in customer meetings, milestone reviews, and executive reporting.
- Ensure regulatory compliance (OSHA, NEC, environmental regulations) and contractual quality standards are met.
- Support warranty claims prevention and root cause investigations.
- Analyze site data to identify systemic issues, recurring subcontractor/vendor problems, or procedural breakdowns.
- Drive initiatives to eliminate recurring defects and improve efficiency across projects.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.

- Completion of a gap analysis on quality systems and development of strategic quality improvement plan.
- Development and implementation of quality policies and SOPs aligned with industry standards.
- Achievement of successful internal and external audits with minimal NCRs.
- Participation in quality programs and continuous process improvement teams.
- Improved quality culture, emphasizing ownership and mindset across the business unit.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Proven Leadership and coordination of geographically dispersed teams.
- Clear, concise communication and documentation skills.
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
- Expertise in process standardization and continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with digital QA/QC tools and platforms (Procore, SharePoint, FTQ360, etc.) for inspections, reporting, and quality data analysis.
TRAVEL EXPECTATIONS:- Up to 35% of travel required for site audits, training, commissioning support, internal and external stakeholder meetings.
