Major Activities
Provide strategic and technical advice on various upcoming reforms & their applicability to our renewable business

Review the regulations / tariff order released from DISCOMS/ SLDCs/SERCs/CEA/CERC and identify gaps with the approved regulations or orders.
▪
Provide advice on legal, technical, commercial, financial & scientific restraints and requirements. Collect, collate and evaluate the data and compile the same.
▪
Prepare responses to the orders released by government authorities with review from legal and send out communication to the government authorities for consideration.

Prepare a executive summary of the regulations released and provide this to the function.
▪
Work closely with regulatory & legal to understand the implication of the regulation.
Collect information from other wind or solar & BESS developers / OEMs / IPPs on their views on the regulation and understand actions being taken at their end
Regulatory matters across renewable assets
▪
Prepare inventory of various regulatory matters in Renewables & initiate monthly review with Apraava legal & regulatory teams
▪
Keep abreast with regulatory requirement under the Electricity Act & CERC guidelines for different assets. Track regulatory matters within the department and ensured timely communication to the relevant authorities / actions.
▪
Work closely with the legal & regulatory team, to implement requirements under Deviation Settlement Mechanism, Tariff order & LVRT regulation and other regulation or reform which may come up from time to time.
▪
Keep close monitoring on load shedding and F&S issues and meeting STU / SERC / SLDC / TRANSCO / DISCOMS / CEIG officials on regular basis
▪
Attend various discussion / meetings / forums to put forward Apraava’ s views on different issues / matters and request for suitable amendments
▪
Co-ordinate with internal & external stake holders / other IPPs to prepare suitable responses to put Apraava’ s viewpoint on each matter in view of huge commercial implications involved.

Regulatory and statutory updates – provide comments on framework / SOP, drafting of correspondence letters, communications with Govt. officials, keep tab on latest orders
Forecasting and Scheduling
▪
Maintain DSM penalties below 0.3% for wind sites and 0.8% for SECI projects.
▪
Organize monthly QCA meetings to track improvements.
▪
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly DSM and De-pooling calculations.
▪
Generate comprehensive reports for forecasting and scheduling, integrated into the MS Dashboard.
▪
Implement advanced weather forecasting models to enhance production forecasts.
▪
Stay updated with renewable energy regulations and forecasting trends.
▪
Schedule meetings with QCA and SLDC officials as needed.
▪
Verify and process RE DSM bills promptly for regulatory compliance.
Reporting & presentations
▪
Prepare report on monthly basis on the status of various regulatory matters PAN India level and circulate the report to management / leadership team.
▪
Preparing case studies / presentation for Senior Management / Board
▪
Provide technical inputs to the lawyers hired by Apraava legal team & Apraava legal team or to the lawyers hired by WIPA / IWPA / other IPP association for preparing the petition. Comments to also be provided on draft petition as & when it comes up for review
