Your future team
You’ll be part of our Environmental team within the broader Group Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) Department, which brings together 20 passionate professionals across Denmark and Poland. Despite being spread across locations, we maintain a close-knit, collaborative culture infused with a shared sense of humour. In your immediate team of 7 specialists, ambition is high, and safety, health, and environmental responsibility are top priorities.
What you will be doing
As a Senior Environmental Engineer, you will ensure compliance with ROCKWOOL’s environmental policies, drive performance, and provide expert support on key environmental processes - technical, legislative, or managerial. Your work will span our production plants worldwide and projects across Group functions such as Group Development and Group Technology.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Driving environmental performance in our factories through collaboration, follow-up, and audits according to Group standards
- Supporting technology and development projects by advising on environmental processes, evaluating new equipment, and documenting impact and abatement measures
- Managing environmental impact assessments and permits, including those related to investment projects
- Staying up-to-date with environmental legislation and sharing knowledge with stakeholders
- Collaborating with our sustainability team and factories to achieve shared goals related to energy, waste, and water management
Please expect around 50 days per year of exciting travel, collaborating with teams across our factories and projects globally.
What you bring
- Engineering, scientific, or technical background
- Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental management
- Hands-on experience with environmental permits
- Strong knowledge of environmental legislation and management systems
- Experience with audits is a strong plus
- Consultancy experience is beneficial
- Fluency in English (written and verbal)
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills
