About the Role
The Manager, Enterprise Applications leads the strategy, implementation, and optimization of FTC Solar’s core business systems—including NetSuite ERP, Salesforce (Sales and Service Clouds), Solidworks PDM, and Arena PLM. This role ensures these systems are fully leveraged to enable efficient, scalable, and data-driven business operations across Finance, Supply Chain, Engineering, Sales, and Operations.
Acting as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, this leader defines and executes an enterprise applications roadmap aligned with FTC Solar’s strategic goals. The Manager partners with department leaders to analyze business processes, identify improvement opportunities, and deliver integrated solutions that enhance efficiency, visibility, and collaboration.
This position requires a mix of business acumen, systems expertise, and leadership—someone who can think strategically about process optimization, guide teams through change, and deliver measurable business impact through technology enablement.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute the enterprise applications strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with company objectives and scalability to support global operations.
Lead the lifecycle management of core business systems—NetSuite ERP, Salesforce CRM, and Arena PLM—including implementation, enhancement, integration, and user adoption.
Partner with cross-functional teams (Finance, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Sales) to understand business processes and translate requirements into effective, system-based solutions.
Drive process optimization and automation initiatives that improve operational efficiency, data integrity, and reporting accuracy.
Manage integrations between enterprise applications using APIs, middleware, or iPaaS tools to ensure seamless data flow and real-time visibility across departments.
Oversee system configuration, testing, and deployment to ensure reliability, performance, and compliance with internal controls and data security standards.
Mentor and lead a team of business systems analysts, developers, and administrators, fostering collaboration and continuous learning.
Manage vendor relationships and third-party service providers to ensure effective delivery of support and enhancements.
Establish and maintain documentation for business processes, configurations, and best practices to promote consistency and knowledge sharing.
Monitor and analyze system performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and recommending technology-driven solutions.
Report regularly to senior leadership on application performance, project status, and strategic opportunities to further digital transformation.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
5+ years of experience managing enterprise applications or business systems (ERP, CRM, PLM).
Extensive experience with NetSuite ERP, Salesforce (Sales and Service Clouds), and Arena PLM.
Proven experience leading cross-functional teams in multiple geographic locations and managing complex IT or systems transformation projects.
Strong understanding of end-to-end business processes and how technology can be leveraged to improve them.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in a relevant discipline or MBA with a focus on Information Systems.
Experience with system integrations (APIs, middleware, iPaaS).
Certifications such as PMP, ITIL, or Agile methodologies.
Familiarity with data analytics tools and business intelligence platforms.
Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or renewable energy industries.
Proven track record of driving digital transformation initiatives through enterprise systems.
