We cultivate a culture of learning, collaboration, and continuous improvement to enable top performance and shape the mobility of the future. - Lead LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) activities to support sustainability initiatives within BMW’s Vehicle Footprint program.
- Model and analyze components and processes in GaBi software to deliver robust CO2e calculations and material content for multiple vehicle configurations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data from IMDS, MDB, Excel-based prognosis tools, and SharePoint repositories; translate data into actionable insights and presentations for SynchroPoint reporting and regulatory disclosures.
- Drive the optimization of existing Excel tools and the generation of PowerPoint presentations that meet BMW standards and branding (CI).
- Contribute to material restrictions evaluation and regulatory reporting requirements (ELV, REACH, POP, EU REACH Art. 33, SCIP, Canada Plastics Reporting, critical raw materials) with rigor and accuracy.
- Mentoring and knowledge transfer within the sustainability/LCA domain to ensure high-quality deliverables and continuous process improvements.

What should you bring along | - Strong analytical mindset with a deep understanding of life cycle assessment, preferably with GaBi experience.
- Ability to aggregate and harmonize data from BOMs, IMDS, prognosis tool data, and regulatory databases into actionable LCA outputs.
- Proactive, collaborative communicator capable of interacting with suppliers, engineering teams, and regulatory stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with excellent data handling, presentation, and storytelling skills to convey complex results clearly.
- Self-motivated to optimize tools and processes (Excel, PowerPoint, data workflows) and to deliver high-quality reports under tight timelines.

Must have technical skill | - Proven experience as an LCA expert, with hands-on modeling in GABI software or similar (CO2 calculations, life cycle impact assessment).
- Experience aggregating Bill of Materials (BOM) with component weights and materials information from IMDS, and building processable lists for LCA.
- Proficiency in data handling and scripting (Excel macros, Python or VBA) to implement mapping processes and data transformations.
- Familiarity with prognosis tool data (Excel-based, on SharePoint) and regulatory data portals (e.g., Portal M) for correlation and deviation management.
- Knowledge of automotive supply chain data, material databases (MDB/IMDS), and regulatory reporting requirements (REACH, ELV, SCIP, etc.).
- Ability to generate compelling, BMW-standard PowerPoint presentations with polished visuals.

Good to have Technical skills | - Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivoting, macros, and data validation for LCA workflows.
- Python or other scripting experience for data processing and automation of CO2 calculations and material content aggregation.
- Experience with additional LCA tools or data visualization platforms to enhance reporting.
- Familiarity with tire production and catalyst production LCA modelling
- Fluency in English; additional language skills relevant to the India team are a plus.
