Essential Functions:
·Landscaping Duties
o Perform general landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, edging, pruning, and weeding.
o Assist with planting trees, shrubs, flowers, and laying sod or mulch.
o Operate landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other hand or power tools.
o Load, unload, and transport tools, equipment, and materials to job sites.
o Follow directions from crew leaders and work safely and efficiently as part of a team.
o Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles.
· Snow Removal Duties
o Shovel snow from sidewalks, driveways, entryways, and other areas.
o Operate snow blowers, plows, and salt spreaders (manual and mechanical).
o Apply de-icing materials such as salt or sand to ensure safe walking and driving surfaces.
o Be available for early morning, evening, overnight, weekend, and on-call snow removal shifts as required.
o Respond quickly to changing weather conditions and emergency snow removal needs.
· General Laborer
o Determine need and send in requests for additional materials, equipment, and personnel.
o Keeping work areas tidy and free of debris.
o Assist with general labor duties on-site as needed
· Follow Novel Energy and OSHA safety regulations and adhere to safety training
· Other duties as assigned
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to frequently inspect the project and may be exposed to ongoing construction and various weather conditions. This position is performed in outside weather conditions and in an office environment.
Physical Demands:
Work is to be performed in the field and in the office.
Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures. PPE personal protective equipment usage is required (including but not limited to; hard hat, arc flash protection, safety glasses, hearing protection)
Must have the ability to sit, stoop, kneel, bend, stand, or walk for 8-10 hours a day, as well as working at heights on a regular basis
Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position.
Travel:
Travel is primarily during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel is to be expected.
Required Education and Experience:
· Ability to operate commercial mower, snow blower and other equipment.
· Proficiency with MS Office Suite
· Proficiency with Procore or similar construction management software
· Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
· OSHA 10 Certified
· Ability to take direction and complete tasks with minimal oversight
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
· Ability to operate skid steer with trenching attachment, bool lift, and telehandler
· Experience working in the vegetation industry
· Experience working on solar construction
· OSHA 30 Certified
