Weitsman Recycling is hiring for a Metal Shop Laborer position. This is a hands-on, full-time role in a fast-paced environment. If you’re reliable, show up ready to work, and don’t shy away from tough jobs - we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist with the handling, sorting, and processing of various scrap metal materials

Operate equipment such as forklifts and other machinery to safely and efficiently move and process metal

Ensure materials are properly sorted by type and grade, meeting all quality standards

Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area to support safety and productivity

Follow all safety procedures, protocols, and regulations to ensure a safe environment for yourself and your team
What We’re Looking For:

Strong work ethic and good attitude

Able to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in all weather

Previous scrapyard or labor experience is helpful, but not required

Punctual, dependable, and team-oriented
Educational Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

Additional vocational or technical training in industrial trades, metalwork, or equipment operation is a plus

OSHA or forklift certification preferred, but not required (training may be provided)
