DescriptionThe Electrical Project Engineer will be part of the ASEAN Wind and Solar unit within the APAC region and work closely with other service area teams, business development, regional and country managers, and support staff.
Responsibilities- Execute wind and solar technical due diligence and owner’s engineering, both desktop and site works with a strong focus on electrical engineering review;
- Knowledge of international electrical design standards such as IEC, and local standards in ASEAN countries is a plus;
- Knowledge of basic principle of MV and HV substations, and electrical conceptual around onshore wind and solar farms;
- Be able to write a report in English (academic consulting style);
- Communicate with clients and internal teams across region and be able to discuss, explain and simplify their technical area (electrical);
- Integrate continuous improvement concepts and techniques into all aspects of the job;
- Perform other duties as directed (that might not be related to their field of expertise).
Qualifications- Master degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering with min 1 - 2 years’ experience in the wind or solar industry
- Candidates with experience on technical due diligence is a plus;
- Strong learning skills and open mindset;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate highly complex engineering, construction, and operational issues to lay people;
- Fluency in Microsoft Office products;
- Fluency in English and local language;
- Valid Driver’s license with an insurable good driving record; and
- Willingness to travel extensively within Thailand and ASEAN countries (up to 40% is expected).
