Owner's Engineer - Transmission

About the Role
ExecuPOWER is seeking a skilled Owner's Engineer (OE) with a strong background in electric transmission systems. In this role, you'll act as the trusted advisor and technical representative for our clients, ensuring transmission design, procurement, and construction activities meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance. This position is fully remote with opportunities for client collaboration across the U.S.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the primary technical liaison between clients and contractors on transmission projects.
- Review and validate engineering deliverables such as line design, calculations, and specifications for compliance with codes and client standards.
- Monitor project progress and identify risks in cost, schedule, safety, and reliability; provide mitigation strategies.
- Support procurement by evaluating technical bids, vendor qualifications, and ensuring equipment compliance.
- Provide construction oversight, field inspections, and technical clarifications during execution.
- Verify testing, commissioning, and QA/QC to ensure reliable transmission system performance.
- Facilitate stakeholder communication with clients, contractors, and regulators.
- Deliver clear project reporting to support informed decision-making.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in electric transmission projects.
- Familiarity with utility standards, NESC, IEEE, and FERC/NERC requirements.
- Strong technical and communication skills with proven experience in complex project environments.
