Job Description:
- Lead and direct SD Guthrie Renewable Energy (SDGRE) solar projects for internal asset in Malaysia, Indonesia and Papua New Guinea.
- Develop the strategic planning for SDGRE solar projects.
- Establish the execution plan and review the profit & loss (P&L) of the SDGRE solar projects
- Advise on technical and business feasibility for further evaluation by the SD Guthrie Berhad (SDGB) Management.
- Interact with Management and professionals across SDGB to obtain inputs and buy in for SDGRE solar projects.
- To position SDGRE as a leading player of renewable energy sector in the palm oil industry that tackles challenges facing the business in order to always stay relevant and have a competitive advantage in business practice.
- Form part of subject-matter expert pertaining to renewables energy management within SD Guthrie Berhad.

- Describe relevance of the job to Org/ Div/ Dept/ Unit/ Section
- Identify and assess new solar projects implementation in SDG
- Monitor the implementation, operation and performance of Solar Project including energy storage with business partners.
- Identify and evaluate the feasibility different model of solar projects that can contribute to the income of SDGRE and benefit SDG.
- Develop strategic planning and business development plan with Innovation & New Ventures, Group Strategy and Innovation Team for both solar projects.
- Facilitates and manage internal stakeholders (EMS, Region) on the collaboration of solar and biomass projects.
- Review financial analysis on each business opportunity to understand the profitability of the projects.
- Identify and explore potentials of existing and future trends, opportunities and its risks within renewables energy industry.
- Review and facilitate testing evaluation for solar project
- People communication and management – liaise and consult with SDG, SDGRE Management and relevant business units for inputs and buy-in.
- Execute any other tasks deemed appropriate and relevant to the business activities.
