Position Overview
The Final Assembly Technician are responsible for integrating components into a housing prior to shipping to customers. The Final Assembly Technician uses hand tools, power tools, machines, and instrumentation to complete assigned projects. The Final Assembly Technician handles electronic components and is trained to understand schematics and blueprints.
Schedule
- This is a second shift position assigned to work 2:30PM-11:00PM
Duties and Responsibilities
- Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures.
- Assembly, configuration, and integration of high-end electronic equipment.
- Installation, termination, and testing of low voltage wiring.
- Read work orders, blueprints, and sketches.
- Maintain workstation and equipment.
- Collect all materials and equipment needed to begin the process.
- Document and record of production quantities and time.
- Document and report any issues or concerns to leadership.
- Work closely with other team members to complete projects by assigned deadlines.
- Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate protective gear, including safety goggles.
- Test and inspect components to ensure uniformity and quality.
- May perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- A minimum of 5 years working in manufacturing or in a related field
- Ability to operate Voltmeters and hand tools
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently, multitask, and as part of a team
- Knowledge of AC/DC voltage
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
- Work is performed in a manufacturing environment, with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures
- Ability to stoop, reach, stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to push, pull, and lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds
- May be required to climb stairs, kneel, or crouch to access equipment or retrieve materials
