Job Title: Solar Sales Manager

Department: Sales – Renewable Energy (Solar)
Experience Required: 4–8 Years in Solar Sales (C&I Utility)
Key Responsibilities:
• Identify, pitch, and close business opportunities with C&I utility clients for rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV systems.
• Develop and manage a strong pipeline of solar sales prospects, from lead generation to contract closure.
• Provide clients with technical guidance and solutions on solar panels, inverters, mounting structures, and other system components.
• Coordinate with internal engineering and project execution (EPC) teams to ensure client needs are aligned with system design and delivery capabilities.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of key EPC players, manufacturers, and pricing trends in the solar industry.
• Conduct site visits, feasibility studies, and develop client-specific proposals.
• Lead negotiations around pricing, commercial terms, and post-sales support.
• Build long-term relationships with corporate clients, consultants, and key decision makers.
• Stay current on government policies, incentives, and regulatory frameworks related to solar energy.
Key Requirements:
• Proven experience in solar power sales with focus on c&I clients.
• Strong technical understanding of solar PV systems including panels, inverters, BoS components, and ground-mounted systems.
• Prior exposure to EPC processes and major industry players/manufacturers.
• Experience in developing and executing sales strategies in the renewable energy sector.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to independently manage client relationships and complex sales cycles.
Preferred Background / Companies: Candidates with prior experience in companies like Solar Square, Solarium, SunSure Energy, Smart Roof Solar, RoofSol Energy will be preferred.
