We are seeking a dynamic, results -driven Solar Project Manager<\/b> to lead the full project lifecycle of solar PV installations – from development through to commissioning. The ideal candidate must be professionally registered PM)<\/b>, have a minimum of 10 years of relevant project experience<\/b>, and hold an electrical engineering qualification<\/b>. This is a Cape Town–based position with occasional travel to project sites.

<\/div>Key Responsibilities:<\/b>

Manage end -to -end execution of solar PV projects (commercial, industrial, and utility scale).
<\/p><\/li>
Oversee planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and quality control.
<\/p><\/li>
Lead multidisciplinary teams including engineering, construction, HSE, and subcontractors.
<\/p><\/li>
Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope and budget, and to regulatory and technical standards.
<\/p><\/li>
Liaise with clients, regulatory bodies, local authorities, and EPC/IPP partners.
<\/p><\/li>
Conduct risk assessments, mitigation planning, and performance reporting.
<\/p><\/li>
Ensure compliance with all SHEQ and environmental standards.
<\/p><\/li>
Oversee the technical commissioning, testing, and handover of projects.
<\/p><\/li><\/ul>
<\/div>Minimum Requirements:<\/b>
<\/h3>
Professional registration<\/b> ( PMP certified).
<\/p><\/li>
10+ years of experience<\/b> in project management, of which at least 5 must be in the solar PV / renewable energy sector<\/b>.
<\/p><\/li>
Strong working knowledge of electrical systems<\/b>, grid -tied solar PV plants, and South African electrical regulations (SANS, NRS, etc.)<\/b>.
<\/p><\/li>
Proven ability to manage large -scale construction projects and engineering teams.
<\/p><\/li>
Proficient in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
<\/p><\/li>
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites.
<\/p><\/li>
Experience working with EPC, IPP, or Owner’s Engineer<\/b> environments.
<\/p><\/li>
Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
<\/p><\/li>
Familiarity with REIPPPP or private PPA project delivery frameworks.
<\/p><\/li>
Commercial acumen and ability to manage contractual obligations.
