An established renewable energy and engineering services organisation is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join their high-performance technical team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong design, project execution and problem-solving capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, review and optimise electrical systems for commercial and industrial projects.
- Deliver technical support during project planning, installation and commissioning.
- Conduct site assessments, energy analyses and system performance evaluations.
- Prepare engineering drawings, specifications and compliance documentation.
- Ensure that all designs and project work adhere to relevant electrical standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Technicians and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
- Provide technical input for feasibility studies and proposals.
Minimum Requirements:
- BEng Electrical Engineering (essential).
- 5 years’ experience in electrical system design, renewable energy, EPC or related environments.
- Strong understanding of SANS electrical standards, grid-tie requirements and electrical safety regulations.
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, PVSyst, ETAP or similar).
- Excellent analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel when required.
Preferred Attributes:
- Experience in solar PV, energy efficiency or embedded generation projects.
- Professional Registration (ECSA) or working towards registration.
