Our Global Internship Programme in Innovation & Sustainability (#IP2TIS) offers a unique opportunity for passionate individuals to gain hands-on experience in the pharmaceutical industry while making a positive impact on the world.
Are you ready to join a global network spanning 20+ countries, where bright minds collaborate to tackle real-world challenges in Innovation & Sustainability? Do you want to work on impactful projects, shape the future , and drive change from within?
The Opportunity
In close collaboration with colleagues from Site Services - Energy Engineering, we aim to explore opportunities for carbon capture at our wood chip heat plant in Kaiseraugst. Our objective is to assess how the capturing can be accomplished and whether the captured carbon dioxide can be utilized or sequestered. This should be accompanied by an ecological balance analysis. One potential approach includes initially developing a utilization solution and subsequently expanding the project towards sequestration. This project is particularly compelling as it addresses biogenic carbon dioxide. If utilized, the resulting products will be net-zero. Conversely, if the biogenic carbon dioxide is sequestered, we will achieve negative emissions. If successful, this initiative could potentially serve as a blueprint for other combustion plants at Roche at a later date.
This internship is based in Basel (permanent office workplace) and may require occasional presence in Kaiseraugst. Physical presence is required.
