Our rapidly growing partner, a Global Top10 Innovative Pharma, is in search of a Sustainability Category Buyer, focusing on carbon emission with the supply-chain in the multinational environment, with Budapest location. This colleague will be responsible for the coordination of initiatives in sustainability, working closely with the Global Category Team.
Responsibilities:
- Map and analyze carbon emissions across the supplier network, ensuring data accuracy and compliance.
- Identify high-emission areas and assess decarbonization strategies, including renewable energy and efficiency improvements.
- Engage suppliers to review carbon footprints, co-develop reduction plans, and monitor commitments.
- Track and report progress, maintaining databases, KPIs, and cost-benefit analyses for senior management.
- Advise on sustainability trends, regulations, and innovative carbon reduction approaches in the pharmaceutical supply chain.
Requirements:
- Experience: 5+ years in supply chain, procurement, or sustainability (LCA, decarbonization, carbon footprint).
- Expertise: Supplier engagement, carbon accounting (GHG Protocol, SBTi, ISO 14067/14040/44), cost modeling.
- Skills: Analytical, negotiation, communication, project management, carbon modeling, supply chain software.
- Traits: Self-driven, results-oriented, able to influence stakeholders.
- Education: Bachelor’s in relevant field (Sustainability, Supply Chain Management, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field). Master’s preferred.
- Languages: Fluent in English.
