PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Quality Sustainability Coordinator is responsible for managing all processes related to sustainability, including interactions with internal team members, Customers, Suppliers, Public Warehouses, and third parties. This role is critical in providing an outstanding level of service to our business partners, maintaining the integrity of our QMS, mitigating risk, and supporting a proactive Continuous Improvement initiative. This role requires organization, critical thinking abilities, fast-paced working initiative, project management skills, and the ability to draft and respond to customers regarding sustainability policies and initiatives and apply it to CPS business operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Predictable and dependable attendance is required.
- Serve as a customer and supplier advocate within the company to ensure total customer & supplier satisfaction.
- Adhere to the 2-hour call back policy for internal and external customers for phone, email and/or fax inquires.
- Responsible for maintaining Quality Customer Service in accordance with Company Core Values (Core Ideology = Purpose + Core Values)
- Be a champion of the Corporate Sustainability Vision and Goals; acts as an organizational resource on sustainability concepts and goals and is responsible for educating employees about company policy on Sustainability.
- Manage requests from customers for QMS and Sustainability documentation including, but not limited to, surveys, T&Cs, NDAs, Manuals, Code of Conduct, and Agreements.
- Track and record received customer report cards, distribute to appropriate contact for necessary follow-ups, and assist in preparation of the quarterly report.
- Responsible for maintaining all customer documentation in DocLink including, but not limited to, T&Cs, NDAs, Quality Manuals, Code of Conduct, Specifications, and Agreements.
- Advise and assist in maintenance/updating all CPS Customer/Supplier Relations Documents including, but not limited to, CPS Customer Handbooks, CPS Conditions of Sale, Supplier Manuals, Public Warehouse Manuals, and official letters.
- Develop sustainability project goals, objectives, initiatives, or strategies and coordinate throughout the organization.
- Assess sustainability initiatives, considering factors such as cost effectiveness, technical feasibility, relevance, and acceptance.
- Stay proactive and informed on sustainability regulations including applicable changes to regulations.
- Research and benchmark sustainability standards in the industry to share and educate others on best practices.
- Responsible for the development of reporting indicators of Chase Plastics Sustainability performance, carbon footprint, and the overall improvement plan. Indicators which may include, but are not limited to, energy usage, natural resource usage, waste generation, and/or recycling.
- Responsible for all aspects of the ISCC+ Certification including managing all relevant data, compliance, audits, internal processes, etc.to maintain approval and certification.
- Responsible for managing CPS data within Sustainability Online Platforms based on customer trends, and sharing our scores/ratings with customers. These platforms include but are not limited to SAQ and EcoVadis.
- Responsible for performing the annual EcoVadis assessment in coordination with management, including development and execution of an action plan to improve CPS rating.
- Responsible for creating and managing the Sustainability Slides for the CPS LEAN Screens.
- Coordinate, manage and maintain the Carbon Footprint tracking, reporting and performance.
- Support external reporting requests such as surveys or questionnaires from customers/partners/organizations/agencies regarding sustainability; build a library of responses related to sustainability for use in completing for external requests.
- Coordinate with the Marketing Manager to communicate sustainability issues, procedures, or objectives.
- Develop reports or presentations to communicate the effectiveness of sustainability initiatives.
- Manage reporting of goals and projects; keeps track of multiple projects at the same time holding the organization accountable for meeting project deadlines related to sustainability.
- Miscellaneous projects assigned by the Quality Manager or Operations Manager
- Review all processes and technologies for possible improvements, in accordance with our Lean Policy. Work with Quality Manager to drive improvement ideas to implementation.
- Responsible for continuous improvement as it relates to Sustainability including but not limited to (EcoVadis, ISCC+, SR-211, OCS Blue)
- Actively participate in team meetings
- Focus on noted areas of improvement in your prior year Catalytic Coaching session. Implement the development recommendations discussed as well as your own areas that you've internally identified.
- Devote full time to the business and affairs of Chase Plastic Services, Inc., and to use your best efforts to perform faithfully and efficiently the responsibilities assigned to you.
