Phase I/II Senior Environmental Assessor:
TEP OpCo, LLC (TEP) is seeking a full-time Senior Environmental Assessor in our Denver, CO or Raleigh, NC office(s). Summary
TEP is currently seeking a full-time Senior Environmental Assessor to conduct, complete, and assist in reviewing Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments for telecommunications projects throughout the United States pursuant to ASTM E1527-21 & ASTM E1903-19.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in biological/physical/environmental sciences
- 5+ years of experience completing Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments and tasks under the supervision of an Environmental Professional
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and analytical abilities
- Familiarity with ASTM1527-21 and Phase II ESA field work, reporting, and analysis
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to work with office machinery including computers, fax machine, copier, etc.
- Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Exceptional writing and proofing skills
- Ability to cultivate strong relationships within a team
- Ability to perform field work outside in a variety of weather conditions and terrain
- Comfortable with solo fieldwork, including airline travel/booking travel and accommodations within a budget
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
- Assist in completing, reviewing, and redlining Phase I ESAs, Phase II ESAs, and Soil & Groundwater Management Plans
- Project management including client correspondence
- Conduct project research as applicable to the scope of work
- Data compilation and organization
- Conducting site reconnaissance, including soil & groundwater field sampling, as deemed necessary
- Technical report writing
- Plan, schedule, and track project timelines and milestones to ensure project progress status is on schedule
- Identify and resolve issues with projects and provide solid recommendations to the Due Diligence Manager and Director of Environmental Regulatory Compliance
- Training junior employees
- Other duties as assigned
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to be at site locations (both on the ground and on building roof tops), sit, stand, walk, use both hands, and reach and raise items above the head, use fingers to feel and handle, talk and hear. While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel and crouch, lift weight or exert a force up to a maximum of 25 pounds.
Work Environment
Approximately 25% performed in an external environment, on-site, outdoors, exposed to the elements of nature working under normal construction conditions. Approximately 75% performed in climate-controlled internal office environment working under normal office conditions. Hybrid work schedule (three days in office) is available following 60-day probationary period.
