Summary: The Station Chef - Carver is responsible for the preparation and service to guests of assigned menu items during events.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned:SETUP:- Assists with the unloading of the truck.
- Sets up food station.
- Assures that linens and skirting on station tables are clean, neat, and free of wrinkles. Irons or steams skirting if necessary.
- Inventories all equipment and foodstuffs to assure he or she has all the necessary items to operate the station; reports any missing items to the facility manager.
- Stores all backup equipment and food items under and behind the station, making sure all backup items are out of the visible sight of guests.
- Clears the floor of all excess equipment, boxes, and supplies.
FUNCTION: - Serves the assigned menu items to all patrons throughout the function.
- Carves individual portions from roasts and poultry using carving knives.
- Slices uniform portions of meat and places meat in a container or arranges individual portions on a plate.
- Ladles gravy or au jus over food and garnishes the plate.
- May weigh sliced meat to ensure that portions are uniform.
- Serves customers.
- Replenishes supplies when necessary.
- Keeps station and surrounding area clean, free from trash and dirty plates and glassware.
BREAKDOWN: - Packs leftover food for client if requested.
- Cleans all equipment and puts it back in its proper storage container.
- Assures that all clean skirting are properly hung on hangers and properly stored.
- Places all linens (except rentals) in linen bags and transport to truck.
- Places all rental linens in one location to be determined by the function manager.
- Transports equipment and supplies to the truck.
- Breakdown station tables and properly stores them in equipment storage area.
- Sweeps floor of station area.
qualifications and education requirements:- High School education/GED with one to two years of customer service experience required
- Must possess an active driver’s license.
- Ability to work nights, holidays, and weekends as business dictates.
- Must be able to work outdoors.

The physical demands will require the employee to regularly lift, adjust, or move objects up to 10 lbs., frequently lift, adjust, or move objects up to 25 lbs., and occasionally lift, adjust, or move objects up to 50 lbs. or more. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule.
