About the role
We are recruiting into our Solar Technical team, to support and carry out all preventive and corrective maintenance activities across a portfolio of utility scale solar assets in the North of England.
This role will be home based but will require daily travel within your region and occasional travel to other parts of the UK.
What you will do
Understand thecompany'sdetailedobligationsinrespectofthe Site/LeadTechnician's assignedsites,andensure, monitor and report on compliance with those obligations.
Be aware ofHSE issues, report any totheRegionalManager and HSE Manager and implement necessarymeasures to improve HSE.
Perform scheduledmaintenanceandcorrective maintenance works(includingHVmaintenance) forsolar plantsto ensure the successful ongoing operation of the plants.
Take primaryon-siteresponsibilityfor plantperformance, work qualityandsiteappearance (both electrical, landscaping, and other).
Maintain regular contact withtheRegional Manager andO&M coordinator to coordinate siteworkseffectivelyand seek guidance where .
Together withotherSiteTechnicians, effectively resolve work ticketsandreportback anyinformation tothe Asset Manager, O&Mcoordinatoror Regional Manager (or other seniors where ) in aprofessional, completeand timely manner
Liaisewithinternalandexternalpartiessuchasin-houseLV,HVandGroundmaintenance teams,subcontractorsand other third parties as and directed.
Professionallyanddiligentlyundertakeallrequired traininganddevelopment.
Takepartinthecompany'son-call rotafornon-workinghours(includingbankholidaysandweekend).
What you bring
Essential
Minimum 3 years’ work experience working on ground mounted solar farms.
C&G 2330 level 2/3 or equivalent.
C&G BS7671 17th edition.
Computer literate.
Can work under own initiative.
Team Player.
Attention to detail.
HV qualifications AP15 or OP40 or equivalent.
Full UK Driving Licence.
Eligibility to work in the UK.
Desirable
Qualifications or training in specific PV inverter technologies.
Communications or networking qualifications.
IOSH or NEBOSH certification.
