JOB SUMMARY: The typical seasonal entry-on-duty period for Statue Of Liberty National Monument is May - November, but can be variable during these months due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding. Anticipated Entry on Duty: 5/4/25 The incumbent serves as a museum technician located at a museum facility in a National Park Service organization. The purpose of the position is to perform a full range of complex curatorial support work in a museum. MAJOR DUTIES: Performs general museum housekeeping to include implementation of an Integrated Pest Management program, cleaning of exhibit spaces, and data logger monitoring. Assists the Curator by cataloging or re-cataloging artifacts in the Interior Collection Management System (ICMS). Preparing for the Interior Collection Management System (ICMS)-Museum Collection Management System (MCMS) transition by cleaning up databases and ensuring images are attached correctly. Assists with exhibit development, design, installation and maintenance. Photographs and scans objects ensuring that all images meet best practice standards.
