ROLE OVERVIEW
Pivot Energy is seeking an IT Systems Administrator to join its Information Technology team. This role will be responsible for managing Pivot’s cloud infrastructure, client devices, user provisioning and de-provisioning, and cybersecurity program execution. This role represents an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing company in the clean energy sector.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES - Oversee and maintain cloud infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability.
- Configure, monitor, and maintain Google Workspace and Microsoft Azure and M365 services, including email, file sharing, virtual machines, storage, networking, and identity management.
- Handle provisioning and deprovisioning of user accounts, ensuring secure and efficient access management.
- Regularly update and patch laptops and network devices to ensure security and performance.
- Complete market research for infrastructure software and hardware, as needed.
- Perform application patch and vulnerability management, as needed.
- Implement and enforce cybersecurity policies to protect company data and systems.
- Perform regular system backups to ensure data integrity and availability. Recover data as needed.
- Assist with technical planning and guidance for company conferences in partnership with relevant stakeholders.
- Assist with set up and maintenance of videoconferencing systems and A/V equipment for company meetings and conferences, as needed.
- Manage help desk ticket queue and provide technical support to end users, resolving issues promptly and efficiently, as needed.
- Cybersecurity Duties:
- Ensure secure and efficient management of user identities and access permissions.
- Review and respond to user-reported phishing attempts and email quarantines.
- Implement and maintain secure configurations for all systems and devices.
- Monitor and respond to security threats using managed detection and response tools, either individually or via third-party managed services.
- Implement measures to prevent data loss and ensure data security.
- Execute incident response and disaster recovery plans to minimize impact and ensure business continuity.
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT infrastructure and systems administration, with a focus on cloud environments.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace or Microsoft administration.
- Strong understanding of cloud security best practices.
- Familiarity with monitoring and management tools.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills, ability to work collaboratively, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
PREFERRED COMPETENCIES - Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Google IT Support Professional, CompTIA Cloud+, or similar are a plus.

$75,000 - $120,000 a year
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
The estimated base salary range for this position is $75,000 - $120,000 depending on relevant experience, along with eligibility for the company’s substantial bonus plan, with a target bonus of 30% of annual salary (prorated in first year based on start date). Compensation will be based on factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
