Role and Responsibilities: Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Prior to completing any work, ensure that all safety documentation and inspections are completed, and the Environmental Drill (drill) and all associated equipment are in good working order (ie: fluid checks, and general equipment inspections).
- Ensure all equipment, tooling, and consumables are loaded and there is enough to complete the project (ie: liners, bentonite, sand, water well supplies, etc.)
- Operate the drill in a manner consistent with manufacturers, and environmental professional recommendations.
- Ensure regular maintenance of the drill, truck, and trailer is completed as per H3M policies and procedures and manufacturers' recommendations. Ensure all maintenance records are completed in full and filed accordingly.
- Identify and communicate any maintenance requirements outside of scheduled maintenance to ensure any issues are rectified without causing scheduling delays.
- Complete daily time tickets including usage numbers and submit to the supervisor/Project Manager for client approval tracking purposes.
- Ensure the professional driver's log is filled and maintained according to all applicable regulations.
- Maintain continuous communication with supervisor/project manager of any scope or schedule changes so adjustments can be made accordingly and clients can be notified promptly.
- Upon completion of a project the drill, trailer(s), tooling, tools, truck, etc. must be thoroughly cleaned and any preparations should be made to ensure readiness for the next project.
- · Mentor and train junior employees and provide support to Project Managers.
Qualifications:
· Minimum of Class 5 Driver’s License with heavy trailer endorsement, or Class 1 or 3.
· Minimum 1-3 years of drilling experience.
· Able to run heavy equipment such of skid steers and other larger pieces of equipment.
· Proficient knowledge of Microsoft programs (Excel and Word).
· Mechanically inclined.
· Have all industry-standard tickets.
· Geotechnical / Environmental Driller Certification is a strong asset
