Our CEO (Chief Executive Officer) functional area is responsible for the strategic direction and further development of Covestro and its corporate culture and includes, among other things, all management functions of the Group as well as innovation management and sustainability.
Your internship will take place in the ‘Sustainability Ratings, Reporting & Social Responsibility’ department, where the topics of sustainability reporting, ESG ratings and rankings, human rights and donations are managed. We work on sustainability topics that affect all business units and are relevant for Covestro as a whole.
In addition to our many benefits, you can expect an attractive salary of €2.100 gross/month for a full-time position.
What we offer:
- You will work in different areas of the team on strategic sustainability topics for Covestro and gain broad experience in sustainability and social issues
- In particular, you will support the strategic development of our sustainability reporting, materiality analysis and sustainability KPI review as well as support ESG ratings
- As a fully-fledged team member, you will support various projects in the field of sustainability and have the opportunity to manage your own sub-projects independently
- Your tasks will include conducting research and analyses, project management, creating presentations and communication materials (e.g. for senior management)
- You will also be responsible for developing and implementing activities in the area of sustainability communication and engagement
- You will support us in integrating sustainability into our business processes in order to meet the expectations of our stakeholders and our own values
What you bring to the table:
- You are studying economics or communication sciences, sustainability management, business administration, management, natural sciences or a comparable subject in a Master's programme
- You have already gained some work experience, e.g. through other internships
- Advanced use of common MS Office applications, especially PowerPoint, is essential
- Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g. PowerBi) and initial insights into agile working methods are an advantage
- You have a keen interest in sustainability topics
- You would describe yourself as analytical, structured and communicative, have a high level of self-motivation and enjoy working in a team
- You have an excellent command of written and spoken German and English (at least B2)
The internship position is ideally available from March 2025. The duration of the internship is ideally 6 months.
