Position Summary:

To positively engage and interact with customer, educating them on our range of Batteries,
Tyres, Oils and Lubricants. Assist to ensure that the loading and offloading of the company’s
merchandise are properly coded and recorded.

Key Responsibilities

Battery Technician responsibilities

 To install and test batteries and issue warranties.
 Ensure that those with whom you make contact are professionally dealt with.
 Assist customers with purchase by giving information with the best possible.
 Perform comprehensive checks on batteries, trays, clamps, cables alternator/or regulator output.
 Refer findings to immediate supervisor if in doubt.
 Refer problem customer/s to immediate Supervisor or Manager.
 Procure/Obtain the appropriate size battery, tyre/s or accessories to suit the customer needs.
 Ensure proper installation of battery is done.
 Ensure all Warranty forms are accurately and completely filled out before handing same to customer.
 Ensure that all scrap batteries removed from vehicles are placed on pallet/s in area assigned.
 Assist in transporting goods to stockroom.
 Maintain clean attire and work area at all times.
 Make sure all external displays are presentable.
 Assist in restocking inventory in the showroom.
 Do not collect money on behalf of the company.
 Help to ensure a customer-satisfying level of service in respect of warranty processing.
 Explain warranty conditions and procedures to customers to avoid misunderstanding and conflict.
 Ensure that correct calculations are processed for warranty claims.
 Present all tools assigned to you for monthly stock assessment.
