Job Description Summary:
We are looking for a Control Centre Manager who will be responsible for the South Europe Control Centre.
This role leads a team responsible for 24/7 monitoring, control, grid and market integration support, ensuring compliance and emergency response. of Nadara’s wind and solar assets across Europe.
The South Europe Control Centre Manager will be based in Portugal, in our Lisbon office, and will report into the Head of Operational Asset Performance.
We operate an Agile Working Policy, where hybrid working is supported.
Job Description:
Main Responsibilities
1) Support the South Europe control centre establishment
Support the implementation and establishment of South Europe control room, working closely with the Head of Operational Asset Performance and the control room already operative in UK, to enhance the synergies.
Promote the recruitment, training and refinement of internal procedures.
Test and rollout of control centre services for Nadara’s wind and solar assets, in collaboration with UK control room.
2) South Europe control centre line management
Day-to-day team management and ongoing development of South Europe Control Centre personnel.
Lead a team of 8-15 members working in shifts to ensure 24/7 coverage.
Ensure Control Centre personnel are suitably trained and qualified.
Maintain suitable shift schedules as required by the needs of the business.
Follow-up of scheduling and works coordination, in compliance with regulatory and operational procedures (e.g. remote control centre to carry out obligations with DSO/TSO or other authorities, or local HSEQ obligations)
Site access control
Development, implementation and continuous improvement and management of operational and safety procedures.
Contract management, purchasing and procurement of Control Centre service contracts.
Reinforce roles, responsibilities, and the interfaces of the Control Centre team to both internal and external stakeholders.
Represent the South Europe Control Centre team towards stakeholders, including O&M contractors and maintenance teams.
Monitor and drive performance based on key KPIs, including team availability, response times, and compliance metrics.
Technical environment and tools
Manage operations using first and second level SCADA platforms, EAM (Enterprise Asset Management) systems, country-specific dispatching software, and other leading control centre platforms.
Education & experience
A qualification in a technical discipline or similar. Relevant experience can compensate for formal qualifications.
At least five years experience of working in renewable energy with consolidated knowledge in operations.
Experience in SCADA and/or Control Centre operations, preferably from a power generation background.
Experience in leading teams.
