PositionSummary:
The Sr. Commercial Manager will play a critical role in our rapidly growing Battery Energy StorageSystem(BESS)teamandourexpansionwithin NA, UK, LATAM, EMEA, Japan, Korea, and APAC. TheSr.CommercialManagerwill own and lead the RFP & competitive bid processes, the negotiation of contracts withcontractors&suppliers,conductcostanalysis,andmakingstrategicproductdecisionsfor projects ranging in scope and complexity for assigned projects.
PrimaryResponsibilities:
- OwnandleadtheRFPresponseandcompetitivebidprocessesfor projectsglobally, analyzing commercial and legal aspects of Customer RFPs to develop a competitive submission to continue to grow the execution pipeline.
- Lead the Customer and sub-contractor contract negotiation phase for equipment, services,andEPCcontractsbycollaboratingwithkeyinternalandexternalstakeholdersto identify and mitigate risks.
- DevelopkeyrequirementsforRFPstosub-contractorsandevaluatethebid results.
- Responsibleforbidanalysisandmodelingtosupportthestrategicprocurementprocess.
- Workwithsupplychaintocapturecompetitiveintelligenceandgenerateinsightson supply chain and BESS landscape.
- InteractswithexternalpartiesincludingCustomers,vendors,andpotentialsuppliers.
- Activelyidentifyopportunitiestoimprovebusinessprocessesandsupportthe implementation of such.
- Ensuretheorganization'sinternalcontractdocumentsareaccurateandwellmaintained.
- ProvidecontractsupporttotheProject’steamduringcontractexecution.
Qualifications&Requirements:
- Bachelor’sdegreeineitherBusiness,Engineering,Management,Finance,Law, orEconomicsor related field degree.
- CommercialcontractnegotiationandRFPsmanagementexperienceforequipmentsupply in the energy sector, familiarity with BESS would be an advantage.
- Proficientataggregatingandunderstandingandrespondingtorequirementsand information as part of the RFP process.
- Provenexperienceinpartneringwithinternalandexternalstakeholderstooptimizea response and the decision-making process.
- ProficientwithMicrosoftOfficeapplicationsandCRMsuchasSalesforceorMicrosoft Dynamics.
- FluentinEnglishinspeakingandwriting.
- EnthusiasmforworkingwithCustomersandsuppliers.
- Strong“intrapreneurial"mindsetforprocessanalysis,problemsolvingandstrategy development skills.
