Job Description Summary:
We are seeking a Group Tax Specialist willing to work on tax compliance and tax planning for both on-going business activities and new initiatives. The compliance will mainly be focused on indirect tax, but the structure of the Renantis Group and different activities in which it is involved in allows to widen the approach also to direct taxes implications.

We are seeking a Group Tax Specialist willing to work on tax compliance and tax planning for both on-going business activities and new initiatives. The compliance will mainly be focused on indirect tax, but the structure of the Nadara Group and different activities in which it is involved in allows to widen the approach also to direct taxes implications.
This position will work closely with business partners, providing business support, and members of the Group Tax Department, structuring and understanding transactions and potential restructurings.
The candidate will support the Head of VAT and Indirect Tax and the entire Group Tax Department to ensure all group entities comply with local VAT and indirect tax requirements. This will be achieved by supporting the Head of VAT and Indirect Tax in the following activities:
- as far as Italian entities is related, running and managing the indirect tax compliance, including ensuring the accurate and timely submission of VAT periodical and annual returns, manage the compliance related to local taxes and register tax; identifying the tax treatment of transactions and tax implications on potential transactions structuring;
- as far as non-Italian entities is related, overseeing the internal reporting process and tax matters together with external tax consultant or local tax manager, for those entities located outside Italy.
- as far as both Italian/non Italian entities, ensuring that changes in tax legislation that may have an impact on Indirect and direct tax compliance are duly monitored and promptly identified
The Group Tax Specialist will also support the Head of VAT and Indirect Tax in:
- liaising with Group tax advisors ensuring value and consistency for all the relevant transactions impacting the business;
- the management of any local indirect tax enquiries or audits.
This is a great opportunity for young a tax professional willing to be part of a Group located in multiple jurisdictions with multiple line of business. The position allows to widen and expand the tax knowledge and testing oneself in different jurisdictions and innovative transaction.
Professional qualification and skills
- Recognised professional tax qualification, chartered accountant or relevant degree
- 4-5 years of experience in this field
- Indirect tax experience with a global consulting firm, law firm or in an in house tax department, coupled with a wider knowledge of the Italian tax system
- International tax background
- Detail-oriented individual, who takes ownership of projects, is organized, possesses excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and is able to deliver on tight deadlines
- Highly motivated
- Able to analyze and review statutes, regulations, and case law and then extract data and make appropriate recommendations
- Effective interpersonal skills, including persuasive written and oral communication skills
- Willing to work as a key member of the Group Tax Department so as to contribute in the achievement of the established set of goals
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and capable to download information from the main ERP Systems
- Fluent in English
