The HR Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the Human Resources department by managing key administrative processes related to both general HR functions and talent acquisition. This individual will handle HR data entry, compliance, employee support, recruiting coordination, and pre-onboarding activities. Core Duties and Responsibilities
- Process employee transactions, including department transfers, promotions, title changes, and supervisory updates in HRIS (Workday).
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries related to HR policies, procedures, and general support.
- Assist in compliance projects, audits, and HR reporting to ensure regulatory and organizational standards are met.
- Maintain employee records, manage verifications of employment, and ensure compliance with labor law postings.
- Assist in HR-related projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve HR processes and enhance efficiency.
- Uphold confidentiality and compliance standards in all HR-related activities.
- Assist with job postings, position requests, and recruitment support for hiring managers.
- Completes pre-employment screenings, background checks, I-9 verifications, and compliance training.
- Manage the pre-onboarding process, ensuring seamless new hire transitions, including IT and payroll coordination.
- Facilitate the pre-onboarding of temporary contract employees, working with the MSP and internal teams to set up access and paperwork.
- Maintain applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HRIS (Workday), ensuring accurate candidate and employee data.
- All other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Associate’s degree in human resources, business, or related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in an HR, recruiting, or administrative support role.
- Proficiency with HRIS and ATS platforms; Workday experience strongly preferred.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
