Responsibilities
- Work with the finance manager (based in Japan)
- Prepare financial statements in accordance with South Korean GAAP
- Present financial statements and required documents to statutory auditors, ensuring timely and quality audits
- Prepare and present monthly financial performance statements as per IFRS for Group consolidation
- Review and ensure adequacy of automated and manual bookkeeping controls, addressing any gaps
- Ensure compliance with local tax and regulations (VAT, CIT, WHT, corporate laws)
- Manage treasury requirements, including working capital, loans, bank relationships, and FX management
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to mitigate financial risks
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Aspiration to grow and contribute to the sustainable energy transition
- Potential for rapid career progression
- Knowledge of local GAAP, tax and corporate laws
- Accounting qualification and CPA firm experience seen as beneficial
- Knowledge of accounting systems and of Microsoft suite
- Good communication skill in English and in Korean
