JOB SUMMARY: This position is located in Arcadia National Park, Bar Harbor, Maine. Career-Seasonal appointments are permanent positions and include the same benefits as Career appointments, but do not provide work on a year-round basis. You would be in a non-pay status from approximately January 5th through January 18th. MAJOR DUTIES: Major duties of this position include: This position is supervisory in nature. This position directly supervises one General/EMT permanent ranger and up to 8-10 General/EMT seasonals. Plans, schedules, and assigns duties to subordinate staff and provides training, guidance and policy direction. Directs or provides assistance to emergency response to EMS or Search and Rescue incidents when requested or needed. Trains, prepares and assigns staff to conduct preventative search and rescue patrols on trails, at trailheads, parking lots and in other locations within the park.
