Profile - Sales Manager – Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
Qualification - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical/Energy/Electronics) + MBA
Experience- Min. 6+ years in technical or solution-based sales, preferably in energy storage, renewable energy, or microgrid applications,, with a focus on BESS, renewable energy with experience in government tenders
Salary - Upto 10 LPA

Job Description
Technical Knowledge:
● Understanding of energy storage systems, including lithium-ion batteries, PCS, EMS,
and BMS.
● Knowledge of applications like peak shaving, load shifting, microgrids, and grid stability.
● Basic understanding of power electronics and energy management systems.
Strong track record of securing and managing government tenders and contracts.
● Familiarity with tender processes, documentation, and regulatory requirements in the
energy sector.
Sales and Negotiation Skills:
● Expertise in preparing proposals, tender submissions, and negotiating complex
contracts.
● Ability to manage long sales cycles and deliver customized solutions to clients.
Responsibilities :
1. Sales Leadership and Strategy:
● Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy targeting both private and
government sectors for BESS solutions.
● Build a strong pipeline of projects to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
● Identify, evaluate, and prioritize opportunities in the public sector through tender
participation and competitive bidding.
2. Government Tender Management:
● Monitor government tenders, RFPs, and procurement opportunities related to energy
storage and renewable energy.
● Prepare and submit tender documents, ensuring compliance with all technical and
commercial requirements.
● Collaborate with internal teams to develop competitive and technically sound proposals.
● Maintain relationships with government departments, public sector undertakings (PSUs),
and key stakeholders to identify future opportunities.
3. Customer Engagement and Relationship Management:
● Build and maintain relationships with decision-makers in utilities, C&I sectors, and
government bodies.
● Conduct presentations and demonstrations to showcase the value of BESS solutions,
including cost savings, grid reliability, and sustainability.
● Act as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the sales cycle.
4. Market Intelligence and Business Development:
● Stay updated on market trends, government policies, and competitors’ activities in the
renewable energy and BESS space.
● Identify emerging opportunities in microgrids, grid stabilization, and renewable energy
integration.
● Represent the company at industry events, forums, and trade shows to build brand
recognition and generate leads.
5. Reporting and Team Collaboration:
● Provide regular updates on sales performance, tender status, and market insights to the
management team.
● Work closely with technical, operations, and finance teams to ensure seamless
execution of contracts.
