Vestas R&D is where new product ideas are developed, matured, improved, and tested. To put it short, Vestas R&D is the cornerstone of Vestas, directing the course of modern energy.
Within Vestas R&D, you'll find our department, Control Hardware, which is a part of the larger R&D organization, Nacelle R&D.
In the Control Hardware department we develop next generation control hardware solutions, by utilizing the techniques of system engineering, modularization, and simulation, to make the new wind turbines and SCADA systems even smarter.
You'll be a part of the SCADA Hardware Sub Module within Control Hardware, where we focus not only on product development, but also on maintaining and improving our existing SCADA Hardware product range.
We work in an area where Hardware and Software go together, and therefore close collaboration with other departments is the key to our effectiveness.
Responsibilities
- Engineering change management tasks concerning existing SCADA hardware products
- Update and prepare technical documentation related to our SCADA hardware solutions
- Update and prepare CAD drawings, SEE electrical or similar CAD software
- Working in close collaboration with all value chain stakeholders as well as external suppliers
- Carry out development projects according to Vestas stage gate model, from early idea/concept, development stage, detailed design through verification and implementation
- Providing answers to technical questions to internal and external stakeholders, taking part in customer or supplier meetings
Qualifications
- Master's / Bachelors in any Engineering specialization
- +5 years' experience in designing LV cabinets/systems
- Experience in creating single line diagrams using SEE electrical
- Detailed knowledge of LV component and system testing
- Knowledge about SCADA control system design
- General knowledge of network vendors hardware, software and operating systems
- Communication skills in English, verbal and written
- Some proficiency in 3D-Modeling and 2D-drafting, e.g., using CREO/ PDMLink and project management through SAP/ERP/ECM systems
- Knowledge on IEC and UL standards

- You possess proficient IT skills and experience with MS Office packages
- You are prepared, result oriented and can be counted on. You are highly organized and able to work on different tasks/projects at the same time
