An exciting opportunity to join the global EIR team helping to deliver on the substantive EIR international growth strategy and supporting WIB’s ambition to become Australia’s leading institutional bank combined with a keen focus on diversity to match our client base. The successful candidate will undertake credit analysis, act as a junior relationship manager with risk and portfolio management responsibilities combined with increasing coverage of clients over time:
As a senior Associate in the international team focusing on Corporate and Institutional EIR clients across the UK & Europe (and occasionally North America), you will contribute to the high-quality origination and delivery of customers in addition to industry insights to differentiate our sales proposition. You will support the management of portfolio risk and provide robust credit analysis to deliver sustainable credit decisions, within a Corporate and Institutional banking environment:
As a junior relationship manager you will be responsible for supporting all aspects of client relationship in coordination with the Director, EIR UK & Europe and the wider EIR International team, with excellent development and growth opportunities.
Additional accountabilities include:
- Support the delivery of revenue and balance sheet growth targets;
- Contributing to maintenance of a healthy portfolio in line with broader business/ team KPIs including maintaining WIB’s commitment to high standards in credit assessment and exposure management;
- Write credit submissions including detailed risk analysis and financial forecasting and be able to support and defend submissions through WIB’s risk management credit decision process;
- Support on-boarding of new clients;
- Build and maintain relationships with clients and advisers to support the origination and management of customers.

What do I need?
- Desire to develop your career and experience in EIR
- Team player – flexible and willing to roll up sleeves to help deliver on our strategy
- Degree qualified – Business/Finance/Accounting
- Experience in Credit Analysis within a wholesale or corporate and Institutional banking environment
- Strong attention to detail and relationship building ability with a variety of stakeholders and external clients
- Knowledge of the corporate loan market (terms and conditions, distribution issues, etc.) and related banking products commonly used by corporate clients
- Good understanding of Sustainability and Climate change related issues impacting our clients and sectors.
- Solid Financial modelling skills.
- Communication and influencing skills required to manage relationships with stakeholders.
- Experience applying a risk mindset and commercial acumen.
