Title: Environmental Compliance Coordinator

JOB SUMMARY: The Environmental Compliance Coordinator provides project management, consultation, and technical assistance regarding environmental rules and regulations to internal staff and external customer base.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions:
- Provide project management and technical consultation to customer base regarding environmental performance, incident investigation and general communication, orientation, and resources associated with environmental compliance.
- Provide technical knowledge of applicable environmental regulations, environmental handbook expectations, permit measures, and standard and site-specific environmental requirements to internal staff.
- Develop, conduct, and ensure completion of annual environmental orientation and training.
- Support internal staff with on-location practice implementation and advice in area of expertise.
- Implement, maintain, and evaluate the customer Environmental Compliance Plan on a routine cadence, to ensure effectiveness.
- Perform field observations to assess procedures and controls are meeting environmental compliance requirements.
- Prepare supplemental environmental training and awareness content to include topics such as supporting environmental compliance refreshers, knowledge checks, and lessons learned.
- Attend conferences and events representing Wright Tree Service of the West.
- Support, actively participate in, and act in accordance with Wright and Wright Tree Service of the West’s culture of safety and employee ownership.
- Comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations; maintains knowledge of and follows all company policies and procedures.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance at work and meetings.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of applicable work experience strongly preferred.
- Experience working with WTSW customer base strongly preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, including presentation skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Must be skilled in proofreading, editing, and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and self-starter.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced, and ever-changing environment.
- Knowledge of utility vegetation management industry.
- Must possess excellent leadership skills.
- Communicates effectively with all levels of employees, both technical and non-technical.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products utilizing the latest operating system, including VLOOKUP and PivotTables for Microsoft Excel.
- Understanding and experience with adult learning, education, training, or similar.
- Ability to read, write and speak English sufficient to perform job duties and to interact and communicate with employees, subcontractors, and customers.
ENVIRONMENTAL AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS: The physical activities of this position constantly require effective talking, hearing, sitting, walking, and standing functions. The position also often involves sedentary work where sitting is required most of the time, with occasional standing or walking. The position also requires exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Must be able to perform activities with close visual acuity, such as reading a computer screen and reading print material. The functions of this position are conducted in a temperature-controlled environment.
INTELLECTUAL/EMOTIONAL REQUIREMENTS: The occupant of this position must be able to perform the responsibilities of the position well under pressure. The position requires adaptability to performing a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure. This position requires the ability to deal with and find a resolution to problems and maintain a productive working relationship with employees which may be interrupted frequently to meet the needs and requests of others. It also requires adaptability to fluctuate between priorities daily while being responsive to needs as they arise.
