The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency wants you to be our newest environmental specialist in the Division of Air Pollution Control (DAPC), working at our Northwest Office in Bowling Green.

As an Ohio EPA environmental specialist, you’ll investigate open burning complaints and make recommendations in accordance with Ohio’s open burning regulations and policy. You’ll be reviewing and preparing recommendations on open burning permission applications as well and preparing Notice of Violations and other enforcement documents to help bring entities into compliance. You’ll also provide technical assistance to industry, government, and the public regarding open burning.
Additionally, you’ll review notifications and perform inspections at asbestos abatement, demolition, and renovation sites to determine compliance with national emission standards for hazardous air pollutants and state law.You’ll get to collect environmental samples at asbestos, demolition, and renovation sites and prepare them for laboratory analysis. To bring entities in compliance, you’ll prepares Notice of Violations and other enforcement documents. You’ll be providing technical assistance to industry, government, and the public regarding asbestos, as well as participating in work groups designed to develop policy, procedures, rules and regulations related to the asbestos program.
