About the Role
As an Environmental Auditor, you’ll be at the forefront of evaluating environmental and permitting compliance, identifying potential gaps, and ensuring adherence to critical regulations. This senior-level role offers a unique opportunity to provide expert analysis and contribute to the success of high-profile projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and inspect project documents for environmental and permitting compliance.
- Identify compliance gaps and recommend actionable solutions.
- Evaluate compliance documentation and prepare detailed technical reports.
- Adapt and evolve responsibilities based on project needs and emerging challenges.
- Collaborate with clients to ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations.
Required Expertise
- 5–10 years of experience in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Biology, or a related field.
- Comprehensive familiarity with the Clean Water Act and permitting processes, including:
- 401 Water Quality Certifications (RWQCB)
- 404 Permits (U.S. Army Corps of Engineers)
- CDFW Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreements
- Working knowledge of NPDES permits, including the Construction General Permit (CGP) (QSP/QSD certification preferred).
- Preferred experience with MS4 compliance.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

- Location: California-based with travel to client sites and project offices as required.
- Full-Time: Hands-on collaboration in both field and office settings.

Keish’s practical approach to field oversight and relationships with regulators at the Regional Water Quality Control Board, CA Department of Fish and Wildlife, Corps of Engineers, and NOAA Fisheries helps contractors stay in compliance, and complete work on budget and on schedule.
