The pay range is $89,700.00 - $161,500.00

A role in Construction means leading the execution of store and distribution center projects. From large program rollouts to unique special projects, or large ground-up construction, you’ll help manage the scope, schedule, and budget for all Target construction projects, including adhering to the project timeline, coordinating and overseeing the onsite construction process and turnover. You’ll keep all the players and partners aligned with effective communication between vendors, general contractors, field leadership and project teams.
As an Environmental Lead, you’ll support the execution of programs through established project management standards. You’ll have a deep understanding of business processes and their related environmental obligations. This position will manage budgets, consultants and contractors, as well as communicate with federal, provincial, or municipal regulatory personnel when necessary and participate in various trade associations and industry groups. You’ll act as a subject matter technical leader and program leader over a variety of corporate environmental initiatives developing both long-term strategy and any short-term solutions needed to meet environmental obligations. You’ll be a part of cross-functional teams that bring new concepts to life and maintain our existing building portfolio. You’ll focus on providing subject matter expertise, development and enhancement of programs, and management of due diligence projects. Develop and maintain partnerships within the company and across the corporation, serve as an internal resource, provide strategic leadership to address emerging or changing regulation or changes in business lines, and promote the integration of corporate compliance/due diligence throughout the corporation. Participate in industry groups and related activities to develop relationships that lead to the “personalization of Target” within the regulatory and business community; influence local, regional and national environmental standards and protocols. Establishes sustainable best management practices for program management and team member development. Collaborate with other teams to establish environmental requirements and build cross functional teams to meet property development program objectives. Use risk assessment/compliance approach to explore a broader view of risk for Target Property Development to pre-emptively react to changing conditions in the post-recession real estate market.

About you:
BA/BS college degree, preferably in environmental studies, geology, engineering or compliance-related field.
Minimum 8 years relevant experience
Working knowledge of business risk assessment approaches and compliance-based structures and programs.
Strong working knowledge of regulations pertaining to multi-media environmental issues and associated liabilities.
Strong Project Management skills
This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
