Safety Health and Environmental & Security Manager

Our Group Real Estate & Workplace team is seeking a Safety, Health, Environmental, and Security (SHE&S) Manager to coordinate SHE and Security responsibilities at our site and effectively manage stakeholders. You will engage with site management and risk owners and align with third-party safety and security contractors to ensure compliance with safety and security processes and infrastructure standards.
This role requires the ability to mobilize people and resources to achieve objectives and drive continuous improvement. You will have demonstrated skills in listening, influencing, and building consensus among diverse stakeholders.

Your key responsibilities
- Participates in and follows up on required risk assessments (e.g., Health or Lab risk assessments) and oversees facility/infrastructure services in lab settings, including the receipt, storage, use, and disposal of chemicals and hazardous materials in compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Member of the site emergency response team; organizes and conducts trainings and drills (e.g., First Aid, firefighting) and promotes health and wellness programs, such as ergonomics assessments and mental health support, to contribute to a safer work environment.
- Coordinates with external agencies (e.g., fire departments, health departments, environmental agencies) for compliance and inspections; classifies and registers site safety incidents, conducts investigations/root cause analyses, and manages initiatives to close safety gaps.
- Conducts/participates in audit activities, executes Gemba walks, disseminates training and awareness content, and embeds applicable ‘Life Saving Rules’ according to Gap Assessment Tool and LSR Governance Standard.
- Participates in corresponding SHE networks, transfers content back to the site, and links/delivers SHE implementation activities at the site level.
- Coordinates site security risk assessments, establishes security improvement plans, seeks funding for improvement actions, supports the implementation of group security requirements and procedures, and conducts regular audits and inspections of site security measures and guarding performance. Participates in regional security networks and conducts security incident investigations in labs/offices.

You bring
- Ability to work effectively across Business Units and functions.

- Strong team spirit and collaborative mindset, with excellent interpersonal and supervisory skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Technology or other STEM-related field with at least 5 years of industry experience.
- Possession of at least one of the following certifications: CSP, CIH, or CHMM. Office/lab SHE&S experience preferred, with exposure to manufacturing.
