PositionSummary:
TheCommercialDirectorwillplayacriticalroleinourrapidlygrowingBatteryEnergyStorage System (BESS) team and our expansion in Australia and the wider Asia Pacific region. The Commercial Director will own and lead the competitive bid processes, the negotiation of contracts with contractors & suppliers, conduct cost analysis, and making strategic product decisions for projects ranging in scope and complexity for projects in Australia and the wider Asia Pacific region. They will lead and support the based Commercial and Contract Management team to meet organization specific goals within the region.
Responsibilities:
- Ownandleadthecompetitivebidprocessesforprojectsin AustraliaandthewiderAsia Pacific region, analyzing commercial and legal aspects of Customer RFPs to develop a competitive submission to continue to grow the execution pipeline.
- Lead the Customer and sub-contractor contract negotiation phase for equipment, services,andEPCcontractsbycollaboratingwithkeyinternalandexternalstakeholders to identify and mitigate risks.
- DevelopkeyrequirementsforRFPstosub-contractorsandevaluatethebid results.
- Responsibleforbidanalysisandmodelingtosupportthestrategicprocurement process.
- Workwithsupplychaintocapturecompetitiveintelligenceandgenerateinsightson supply chain and BESS landscape.
- InteractswithexternalpartiesincludingCustomers,vendors,andpotentialsuppliers.
- Activelyidentifyopportunitiestocontinuouslyimprovebusinessprocessesandsupport the implementation of such.
- CoachesmembersoftheCommercialandContractManagementteamtogrowand learn within their roles.
Qualifications&Requirements:
- Bachelor’sdegreeineitherBusiness,Engineering,Management,Finance,orEconomicsor related field degree.
- CommercialcontractnegotiationandRFPsmanagementexperienceforequipmentsupply in the energy sector.
- Proficientataggregatingandunderstandingandrespondingtorequirementsand information as part of the RFP process.
- Provenexperienceinpartneringwithinternalandexternalstakeholderstooptimizea response and the decision-making process.
- ProficientwithMicrosoftOfficeapplications.
- FluentinEnglishinspeakingand enthusiasmforworkingwithCustomersandsuppliers.
- Strong“intrapreneurial"mindsetforprocessanalysis,problemsolvingandstrategy development skills.
