JOB SUMMARY: These positions are located in the Division of Safety and Emergency Medical Services at the Statue of Liberty National Monument and Ellis Island, located in New York, New York. The typical seasonal entry-on-duty period is April-October but can be variable during these months due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding. Anticipated Entry on Duty: April 2025. MAJOR DUTIES: Respond on foot to emergency scenes while adhering to park standard operating procedures. Independently conduct accurate and complete patient assessments in the field and clinical setting; Provide appropriate basic treatment as outlined in governing protocol(s), in route, or until advanced or definitive care is provided. Prepare written documentation of patient care activities that are thorough, accurate, and in compliance with patient privacy regulations, legal requirements, and local procedures. Use advanced knowledge of anatomy, knowledge of major body systems, knowledge of emergency medical techniques and procedures and knowledge relevant to understanding the legal considerations of emergency care. Conduct in-service training sessions for peers and other park staff on emergency equipment and procedures as assigned.
