About the role
We are seeking a competent, proactive, and committed individual to take on the role as Sourcing Manager. The Sourcing Manager runs a wide variety of procurement processes and is a specialist in tendering, contract negotiations and contract management. The Sourcing Manager ensures that products and services are sourced at competitive total cost and that processes are run in a compliant and efficient manner while at the same time adding value to Norsk Hydro.
The Sourcing Manger is a key member of the Global Business Services Procurement team. The individual holding this position will report directly to Senior IT/Indirect Manager Procurement and will work closely with internal stakeholders. The individual will collaborate across Business Units and will also work closely with the rest of the category management team. The position will be preferably based in Szekesfehervar.
As a Sourcing Manager you will
• Take a strong ownership of the Sourcing Manager role towards your internal customers
• Develop sourcing plans to meet internal customer requirements
• Manage both small and larger procurement processes, mostly within the categories of indirect, professional services and IT. This includes prequalification, sending out the request for proposal, evaluation, clarifications, contract negotiations and contract award.
• Supplier registration and vetting
• Identify areas of repeat spend and utilize or establishing Framework Agreements
• Monitor and follow-up suppliers
• Analyze procurement spend, supply base and buying behavior
• Support internal customers in Digitalization Office
• Ensure adherence to procurement processes
• Assist in Procure-to-Pay (P2P) including generation of purchase orders in SAP
• Roll out procurement training to new starters and hold regular workshops with existing staff in Operational Procurement
Your qualifications and skills
• Bachelor / Master’s degree in relevant discipline area or documented experience in the field
• Minimum 2 years relevant procurement experience
• Fluent in English
• Excellent IT skills (experience with SAP is an advantage)
• Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to successfully work, educate and support multiple stakeholders
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment with many stakeholders simultaneously
• Proactive and a quick learner
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and video conferencing tools
• Experience with Should-Cost Modeling, Total Cost of Ownership, and ROI analysis preferred
• Excellent analytical skills, ability to create and manage complex spreadsheets
• Experience with business operating systems, i.e.: SAP
• Experience working within a project management environment
